Every session in Cognix Health already records the date, minutes, code, setting and supervisor. We turn that into a drafted BACB entry overnight — so your month is written before you open it.
September · Concentrated
On track for February
10
fields filled from every session
Date, minutes, category, supervision split, observation, setting and more.
2
BACB rule sets checked at once
2022 and 2027, evaluated side by side all month.
7
monthly requirements watched
Hours, supervision, contacts, observation, group cap, unrestricted floor, window.
0
spreadsheets to keep in sync
One ledger, signed monthly, exportable in full for free.
The unfair advantage
A standalone tracker asks you ten questions per session. Cognix Health already has all ten answers — you scheduled the session, billed the code and ran the supervision here.
In Cognix Health
A session you already delivered
Drafted overnight
Two fieldwork entries, ready to confirm
Restricted · In person · Northside Clinic
Individual · 45 observation minutes · Dr. A. Mercer, BACB 1-24-12345
Nothing counts until you confirm it. Confirming both is one tap.
Eight things the BACB asks about an hour of fieldwork — all answerable from the session itself.
Session start and end time
Entry date, times and minutes
To the minute, straight from the schedule.
The CPT code you billed
Restricted or unrestricted
Through your practice’s own code map — not a generic default.
A supervision that overlapped the session
The supervised slice, split out
One session becomes two entries, cut at the exact overlap.
Your supervisor on that supervision
Supervisor name and BACB ID
Already attached to the hour they supervised.
Supervisor present with the same client
Observation minutes
2027 wants 60–90 minutes a month. Your calendar proves them.
How many trainees were on the supervision
Individual or group, and group size
The 50% group cap only works if the split is right.
Place of service and location
In person or online, and the setting
Telehealth becomes online; the location becomes the setting.
Service name and organization
Activity description and organization
Reads like real work, and never names a client.
A spreadsheet or a standalone tracker
Several hundred sessions × ten fields = thousands of chances to type the wrong thing.
Fieldwork
Your attention goes to the handful of judgement calls, not to data entry you already did once.
What you get
Counting hours is the easy part. The split, the percentages, the signatures and the ownership are what decide whether your record survives an audit.
Drafting
Sessions become drafted entries overnight — already split, categorised and graded.
Review drafts
11 waitingCompliance
Seven monthly checks, run continuously against both BACB rule sets at once.
Verification
The numbers arrive in BACB form order, so there is nothing to reconcile first.

No guessing
Which rules apply depends on when you apply for certification — not when you worked the hours. So every month is measured against both.

BCaBA thresholds differ and are checked the same way: 1,300 or 1,000 hours under the 2022 rules, 1,300 or 800 under 2027, against a 40% unrestricted floor. Always confirm current requirements with the BACB.
How it works
Nothing changes about how you deliver sessions. The only new habit is a minute of confirming, most days.
Once, about two minutes
Add a personal login, pick your credential, pathway and target month, and name your supervisor. They accept once — their BACB details then ride on every month you sign.
A minute a day
Yesterday’s sessions are already waiting. Confirm the clean ones together; decide the few that need you.
As it happens
Program writing, graphing and analysis never appear as a session. Log them in seconds, on web or mobile.
Once a month
Review in BACB form order and sign. Your supervisor countersigns before the deadline, with reminders for both of you.
For practice owners and supervising BCBAs
The month you attest to is built from your own schedule — the numbers your practice already recorded. Included free for staff at practices on Cognix Health.
Requests, months awaiting your signature, and every trainee at a glance: on track, at risk, or waiting on you. Fieldwork managers see the whole organization.
Notified when a trainee signs, and again three days before the deadline. Countersign, or send it back with a note.
Countersign from the same dashboard where you already approve supervision. Staff Supervisions for RBTs keeps working alongside it.
Already on Cognix Health? It turns on for your trainees at no extra cost — a real retention argument for the BCBAs you are growing. New to us? We will show you both.

Questions
Staff working toward BCBA or BCaBA certification at practices that use Cognix Health, and the BCBAs who supervise them. Trainees whose practice does not use Cognix Health can create an account directly and track on a Personal plan.
No. Sessions you deliver in Cognix Health become draft entries automatically, with the date, minutes, category, setting, format and supervisor already filled in. You confirm them and add the work that is not on the calendar, such as program writing or graphing.
From the CPT code on the session, mapped through your practice’s own code map, which sits on top of the platform defaults. Codes that genuinely depend on what you did that session — 97151, 97155, 97156 and the like — are drafted at medium confidence so you get the final say, and an unmapped code on a non-billable session falls back to unrestricted.
When a supervision overlaps one of your sessions, the session is cut at the exact overlap: the part you ran alone becomes an independent entry, and the overlap becomes a supervised one, carrying your supervisor’s name and BACB ID. If they were with the same client, those minutes are counted as observation, and the number of trainees on the supervision decides whether it was individual or group.
Yes. Each month is tagged Supervised or Concentrated, and every check uses the right thresholds, including 10% supervision under the 2022 rules or 7.5% under the 2027 rules, and 90 minutes of observation a month for concentrated fieldwork under the 2027 rules.
The 2022 and the 2027 fieldwork requirements, side by side, because the rule set that applies depends on when you apply for certification rather than when you worked the hours.
Yes. Enter earlier months one row at a time, with the same numbers you would put on a monthly form, and attach the signed form if you have it. They count toward your total and are measured against your five-year window.
Cognix Health assembles each month’s numbers in the order the BACB form uses, collects your signature and your supervisor’s, and stores the signed record for you. It is not the official form: you copy the numbers onto that one, sign it, and keep both for at least seven years. We are working toward generating the official form directly.
Add them on the Supervisors page with their name, email and BACB ID. When you sign a month with them as responsible supervisor, they get a single-use link by email and sign without creating an account. You can resend the link from the month page, and you can upload the signed supervision contract there too.
Your records belong to you. You add a personal email and password when you set up, and you keep the account after you leave. Everything stays free for 60 days; continuing to track afterwards needs a personal plan, and you can download all of your records, signed forms included, at no cost at any time.
Fieldwork is included at no extra cost for staff at practices that use Cognix Health.
